Israel’s high vaccination rate has led to a surge in new coronavirus Delta variant at August 21, However, Taiwan’s low vaccination rate in July 21 claimed to have successfully controlled the surge of the Delta variant. UK and Japan have high infection rates but low mortality. As of mid-September 2021, China are only slightly affected by the Delta variant. This sends a signal to the world that there should be a complete and effective strategy to control the coronavirus including the Delta variant, not just relying on vaccination. Due to the last wave of covid-19, many countries finances have had a great impact, and it has been difficult for them to implement high-cost prevention strategies. Often high mortality rates may produce new mutants, so the low-cost prevention strategies must also aim to reduce the daily hospitalization rate and death rate caused by covid-19. The objective of Peter Chew’s low-cost strategy for high-infection countries is to solve above problem.
