Description
Multi – objective optimization is an attractive issue, there has been several approaches on this subject since the appearance of its basic concept. The publication of the 2nd edition of “Probability – based Multi – Objective Optimization for Material Selection” (Springer, 2023) created a brand new idea and methodology in philosophy to deal with multi – objective optimization problem from viewpoint of system theory, the algorithm of its approach is based on probability theory and set theory. While, the current book entitled “Probabilistic Methodology of Multi-objective Optimization - diminishing uncertainty by using probability theory” mainly discusses some issues related to uncertainty in the previous / traditional approaches in multi-objective optimization, rationality of probabilistic assessment, probabilistic fuzzy multi – objective optimization, robustness, weighting factor, etc. The aim of this book is to be as a concise reading to let public know this methodology, and a paving stone to cast a brick to attract jade. The authors expect that this work could inspire people's enthusiasm of innovative exploration of method on multi – objective optimization problems and play the role of paving the way.
