Description

There is a garden variety of hypotheses that, while attempting to explain dark matter, go beyond the Standard Model. Some of them propose never-discovered subatomic particles, while others propose to significantly change the known physical laws.
In distinction, the explanation based on the existing second flavor of hydrogen atom is only one explanation of dark matter that has the following four features simultaneously:
1) it has the confirmation from two different kinds of atomic experiments: one - from the analysis of experiments depending on the distribution of the linear momentum in the ground state of hydrogen atoms, another – from the analysis of the experiments on charge exchange in collisions of hydrogen atoms with low-energy protons;
2) it does not go beyond the Standard Model (and thus is favored by the Occam razor principle);
3) it is based on the standard quantum mechanics, namely on the Dirac equation – without any change to the physical laws (and thus is favored by the Occam razor principle);
3) it explains two different kinds of the recent puzzling astrophysical observations: one – the observation of the anomalous absorption of the 21 cm spectral line from the early Universe, another – the observation that the distribution of dark matter is smoother than expected from the Einstein’s gravity.
