Pranjal

Prof. (Dr) Pranjal Sarma is currently a Professor in the Department of Sociology, Dibrugarh University, Assam, India. He completed his masters in Sociology from NEHU, Shillong in 1997 where he was awarded a gold medal based on his performance. He obtained his doctorate in Sociology from the same university in 2003.  He is a Board member of Research Committee-13: Sociology of Leisure, International Sociological Association. He is also the convener of Research Committee-16: Work, Labour and Organisation of Indian Sociological Society, New Delhi and former managing committee member of the same society

Dr. Sarma is the author of a number of books and research papers//articles published in various leading national and international journals. His areas of interest are Human Disabilities, Industrial Sociology, Sociology of Management, Sociology of Work, Sociology of Leisure and Social Change.
