Sheik Mohammad

Sheik is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Digital Technologies, within the Faculty of Information, Communication and Digital Technologies (FoICDT) at the University of Mauritius. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (2018) which was fully funded through the University of Southampton International PhD Studentship, United Kingdom. His PhD thesis title was “On the inclusion of social media features in digital behaviour change interventions.” and involved close collaboration with researchers in the area of Psychology to develop tools aimed at reshaping people’s behaviours. He has also developed a taxonomy of Social Media Features which are commonly used in digital behaviour change interventions. He is currently involved in several research projects in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) with a focus on its overlap with social computing elements.
