Foundational to everything she teaches, Dr. Andrea Stark Bishop believes that writing is a skill set we must continually strive to improve. Her fascination with the writer’s voice developed while trying to teach the seemingly magical combination of words, phrases, and punctuation that helped writing express persona as well as ideas. This research is intended to provide writing teachers with insight into how students see and hear their own writerly voices.
