A. Ushanthan is a researcher at the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences & Technology, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Specializing in mariculture, his work focuses on seaweed cultivation using GIS and remote sensing. Ushanthana aims to support sustainable livelihood development for coastal communities. His research on site selection for seaweed culture has significantly advanced marine resource management in Sri Lanka.
