Marypiah Wairimu Gatura Kuria was born on 12 Feburuary 1961.She is a wife and a mother of three children. Kuria first worked as a primary school teacher. latter she joined University of Nairobi for a Bachelor of Psychology(Counselling)2002-2005.In 2008 Kuria joined Laikipia University then a constituent College of Egerton University for a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling.In 2014 she joined Mout Kenya University for PhD in Counselling Psychology.
