His research interests lie in the area of Human rights, International Humanitarian Law, Rights of civilians, Rights of Children, Rights of women and Middle East Politics. Khalil has presented papers in several national and international Conferences and Seminars. He is translated and edited a quite number of articles and books in Arabic and English to Persian. His latest translated book in Persian on ‘Protecting Education in Insecurity and Armed Conflict an International Law Handbook’.
