I graduated from the Department of Biochemistry, Bose Institute (DST, India) at 2012 and moved to UMASS Medical School, the USA for postdoctoral training for another four years. As a researcher, I have gained substantial experience in the area of yeast molecular genetics, cell biology and molecular biology. Through my work I found that Chl1p of budding yeast is required to preserve genome integrity upon DNA damage in different phases of the cell cycle (NAR 2006; Cell Div., 2021). I am currently working in the field of cancer biology as an Assistant Professor at Yenepoya (deemed to be university), India at Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics Division of Yenepoya Research Centre. My work deals with revealing the role of repair molecules in the development and progression of tumor.
