Prof. Yiguo Zhang, MD, PhD. FRSMed, EUAS, has focused on Cell Biochemistry and Topobiology of Nrf1, with two major original scientific contributions: 1) Nrf1 is an indispensable determinon for robust homeostasis, and 2) topogenetics of Nrf1 flipping across membranes to dictate its unique physio-pathological functions. On this base, precision Nrf1-targeting new drugs are being developed, aiming at antioxidant, anti-inflammation, anti-ageing and anti-cancer intervention, prevention and therapy.
