Albrecht

Classen is an accomplished poet, having published fourteen volumes of his own works (poetry) and four volumes with satires and essays. His is Professor of German Studies at the University of Arizona focusing on the European Middle Ages and early modern age (133 scholarly books so far). He currently serves as the president of the Society of Contemporary American Literature in German. In 2004, he received the Bundesverdienstkreuz am Band from the German government, and was knighted in 2017.
