Dr. Muhammad Farooq has remained Head of Law Department in Islamia College, University of Peshawar, KPK and is a visiting faculty member in Sharia’h and Laws Department at International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Islamic Laws from University of Aberdeen UK, has a graduate degree (with gold medal) in Islamic Theology, Postgraduate degree in Arabic from University of Peshawar, LLB (Honors) Sharia’h and LLM Sharia’h and Laws from the International Islamic University Islamabad in Pakistan.

The author is a Muslim scholar, with an interest and commitment to research and progress in the field of legal reforms in Pakistan, particularly with regard to family laws, gender study and the rights of women. He is experienced in legal research and UK Court’s procedure, fluent in English, Arabic, Pashto, Urdu and competent to work with research materials and subjects in these languages. As a Magistrate (JP) in London, Lawyer and visiting Lecturer in Pakistan, Dr. Farooq, has a lot to juggle.
