Dr. Faisal Nouroz, hailing from District Abbottabad, KP, Pakistan, is an accomplished scholar and researcher in the field of molecular genetics, bioinformatics, and plant physiology. He earned his Master’s in Botany from the University of Peshawar in 2001 and an M.Phil in Plant Physiology/Biotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2004. Dr. Nouroz's academic journey led him to Hazara University in 2005, where he began as a Lecturer in Botany.
His academic pursuits took an international turn when he secured an HEC scholarship to pursue his Ph.D. at the University of Leicester, UK. Working under the esteemed guidance of Professor Dr. J.S. (Pat) Heslop-Harrison, he explored the characterization and evolutionary genetics of Transposable Elements in diploid and polyploid Brassica and Musa crop genomes using innovative bioinformatics, molecular, and cytogenetic techniques.
