Soma Dhar is a budding economic researcher and an aspiring writer who has knowledge in the fields of development economics and serves as a reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal of international reputation. She is pursuing a Ph.D. (MPhil leading) in the Department of Economics at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. She authored many research articles and book reviews across international and national journals. She is a columnist for dailies who writes considerably on the core issues of women empowerment, women's rights, and economic development.
