Dr. Hiroshi

Hiroshi Kobayashi (1941- ), a senior researcher of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan, grew up in Japan and received his Bachelor degree from Nagoya Institute of Technology in 1966. After he obtained his Ph D. degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1971, he went to National Research Laboratory of Metrology (NRLM) in Japan in 1972. He retired from National Institute of AIST in Japan as a successor of NRLM in 2002 and went to a venture company: Nihon Techno-Plus in 2003. He returned to National Institute of AIST (Kansai) as a research advisor in 2012 and retired in 2018. In the meantime, he was a visiting researcher at NIST Boulder in 1994 and was a visiting professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2001.
