Description
The book entitled “XRD and DSC Analysis of Mesophase” is mainly focus on the synthesis of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesophase by applying proton-induced material processing technique. The characterization of this new phase was carried out using X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) techniques. The growing trend in the field of Material Sciences demands understanding the material processing or synthesis technology applying various characterization techniques. In this book, we have described both theoretical and experimental study of radiation-induced mesophase using XRD and DSC techniques. Mesophase material synthesis was carried out in a specially fabricated external-beam line and fiber irradiation cell with the 3 Million Volt Tandem Pelletron Accelerator at Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India. We hope this book will be a very useful reference for students and researchers in the field of material science in general and polymeric material in particular.
