Description
Frequently-occurred hydrogeological hazards due to climate change and anthropogenic activities pose a great threaten to economic growth, social development and eco-environment safety of coastal region, and early warning of these disasters based on numerical simulation has become more and more important and necessary. This book describes the applications of utilizing groundwater flow and solute transport models to assess the impacts of environmental change and human activities on saltwater intrusion and land subsidence (sinkhole) in coastal areas, aiming at emphasizing the significance of numerical simulation approach in natural hazards prediction and prevention.
