Description
Irrigation developments in the Nariarlé sub-watershed are exposed to risks related to climate change (Sampebgo, Ibrahim, et al., 2024; Yu & Sampebgo, 2024) . The exceptional changes in current climate parameters influence the determining factors of climate risks. Climate change is a universal phenomenon, with multiple consequences that affect all areas of human life (CEDRA & Wiggins, 2009; Ouoba, 2013) . The objective of this study is to provide scientific reflection on the method for assessing climate change, more precisely on the sub-components of the new risk concept. Documentary research, standardization, weighted arithmetic aggregation of the impact chain ( GIZ, 2021) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were used as the methodology. These results are supported by field data from a sample of 218 producers. The analysis of climate exposures and vulnerabilities is a first step towards the assessment and implementation of effective practices and techniques for adaptation to climate risks. This document is the result of the fusion of scientific research.
