In each of the various forms of reporting, reams of paper have been devoted to writing on the potential of the tourism industry in Bangladesh. We have been working toward the development of tourism for the past three decades, but our efforts have not always been successful in meeting the expectations. The encouraging news is that in recent times, a significant number of high-ranking authorities concerned with the growth of the nation have come to realize the significance of tourism. There are many different ways in which tourism might benefit the economy of a particular location. These include revenue received from tourist spending in hotels and restaurants, revenue earned from conventions and meetings held, revenue earned from fares paid for transportation, and so on.
