Description
In this book, the author presents a selection of her articles already published in the Croatian language in the renowned Croatian musicological journal Arti musices. The first article (1996) deals with the influences of mass media, especially radio, on the production, storage, reproduction and dissemination of music. It presents basic historical, sociological, psychological, aesthetic and phenomenological aspects of the relationship between mass media, especially radio, and art music. The second article (2017) deals with the repertoire of the Croatian Wireless Choir, the only professional vocal ensemble in Croatia specializing in a cappella repertoire performances from the Renaissance to the 20th century, as well as contemporary and historical compositions for large vocal and orchestral ensembles in the first four seasons (1941-1945) of the ensemble's activity. The third article presents an example of the author's thirty-three years of radio editorial experience in the form of a case study of a broadcast in which she successfully attempted to make scholarly musicological texts more radiophonic than they really are, and thus to made musicology more 'visible' to the public.
